Imagine it’s a perfect spring day, it’s 65 degrees with a slight breeze. You are bored with nothing to do, what’s the first activity that comes to your mind? Personally, my first thought is to go on a picnic! But, before you leave, you must ensure you are prepared with all the essentials. Packing the perfect picnic might not be easy, so here is a guide to ensure you have all you need!
- Location
The location of your picnic is key to ensuring a good time, my personal favorite picnic locations include:
- The Beach – as long as you’re okay with getting a little sand in your shoes
- a Grassy Field- simple, but never a miss
- Under a Tree- great for shade on an exceptionally sunny day
The most imperative part of a picnic is the food, so make sure to bring something you like! My go-to picnic foods are:
- Fruit- Watermelon, Strawberries, Blueberries, etc.
- a Good Sandwich- easy to make and customizable!
- Cheese and Crackers- especially great if you add some cranberries.
Depending on my mood, my company varies, sometimes I prefer to enjoy a picnic on my own, while others I’d love to have some friends with me! Picnics with friends or family are always great, but you can also never go wrong with bringing your dog (as long as you pack some treats for them)!
Honorable Mentions:
Some other necessities include; A good basket or cooler, a blanket or towel, and something to drink!
