Today, September 16th, the class of 2028 will vote to elect their high school class officers for the rest of the school year. The five class officer positions are: Historian, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-President, and President, each position with their respective responsibilities. Let’s take time and meet the candidates.
Historian:
Finley Costello- Finley is running for this position because she loves photography and wants to take photos because she knows the precious meaning behind them. She says keeping photos keeps memories alive for lifetimes. She’s excited to make photos for there events such as pep rallies and fundraisers
Secretary:
Jack Johnson- Jack is running for this position because he wants to help freshmen, Jack is going to make sure everyone in his class is going to do their job within the class officers, and he will also make sure the budgets are in check. Jack is hoping to win the spirit stick this year!
Grace Urtz- Grace is running for this position to enhance her college application, and build up her leadership and management skills. Grace is going to make sure everything is organized and help people keep everything organized
Andrew Jago- Andrew is running for this position because he wants to win spirit week. He wants to be the first ever freshman class to win! The main impact Andrew wants to make is be a great leader for his class and make sure everyone is staying on task, and only bringing good vibes to the table
Treasurer:
Kate Kelly- Kate is running for this position because she is amazing at math and wants to put that to good use. She hopes to help her class raise a lot of money by doing a bunch of fundraisers and doing a bunch of fun things! She hopes there will be a lot of freshman spirit and only wants the best for her class.
Scarlett Wart- Scarlett is running for this position because she wants to make fundraisers that are very fun but also raise a lot of money. She also wants to get more involved with our school community and thinks this is the perfect opportunity. She thinks this will help her build her management skills, and become more outspoken.
Olivia Caton- Olivia is running for this position because she has always been interested in finances, and has always wanted to be a class officer. She chose treasurer because math has always been fun and exciting for her and feels this is a great opportunity for her to do that. In middle school she was the class treasurer! She hopes in the future we win the spirit week!
Vice President:
Tia-Mann-Leon- Tia wants to be Vice President because she wants to be a voice for her student body, a person people can rely on. She’s excited to plan a fundraiser for her class and support the president in any way they need. She wants to change the stigma of having to go through highschool. She wishes everyone will be safe and comfortable at our school.
Addison Owen- Addison is running for this position because she wants to make sure the President is doing their job correctly, and support them in whatever they do. She is going to make sure the events are planned properly and keep everyone’s spirit high!
Ashylnn Piper- Ashylnn is running for this position because she feels she can adapt to any situation she is in and feels she will do a great job at supporting the President in any duties she needs to do. She hopes she gets to do a lot of the planning for spirit week and homecoming because she loves decorating and loves hearing outside perspectives
President:
Aspen Ellerbe- Aspen is running for this position because she feels she will be a good leader. She has had many leadership positions in the past. She was Vice President of student council, she was in charge of JCO, and is currently with Ballet Caliente. She also does a lot of activities that give her skills to fulfill the role as president. In the near future she hopes our school will do a lot of fundraisers!
Baylen Derby- Baylen is running for this position because he feels he can be a voice for his class and be a good leader. He feels he will do better at representing the freshman, taking their thoughts and ideas into account and also because he knows a lot of the freshman so he has a better understanding of the class
