Recently, I did a survey on who prefers gold or silver, as it is a big debate! The results were pretty evenly distributed, other than how one option had 2 extra votes compared to the other. In total, 9 people voted that they prefer gold over silver, and 7 people choose silver over gold! This means we have a winner, and gold wins!
But why is gold and silver such a heated topic? There is really no answer to that, as it is all opinionated! Some people also believe that people look better in either gold or silver depending on their undertones. Undertones are the color of your skin that seem slightly noticeable, but make your skin color unique. However, that is just what people believe, and you should most definitely wear whatever you love! But, why is this significant? Well, class rings are a huge part of high school life! When picking out your class rings on the Jostens website (Always linked in Mr. Copsey’s weekly S’More!) you have the option to choose between a silver or gold ring, along with a gemstone of your choice! If you are one of the people that prefer gold over silver, a golden class ring might cost a pretty penny, as gold rings after customization can cost over $2000! There are options to the gold and silver, you have the option to choose up to 18 carat gold, or, you can choose pure sterling silver, or dualcast! (Gold + Silver)! Take your time designing rings, as there are so many options to choose from!
I asked someone why they chose gold over silver, and they said that they adore warmer colors, and how they look! Personally, I also prefer gold! I love the warmer colors as well! But, I really love how gold can be paired with pink clothes or accessories, as pink is my favorite color! But, based on this survey, people tend to like gold more often than silver!
