First off I want to have be known that I enjoy all the themes for spirit week and appreciate all the hard work that is put in when creating and deciding these days. Also this is just my opinion but I am going to try my best in ranking them as equally as possible. These themes will be graded on their creativity, ease of participation, and uniqueness.
- Tacky Tourist Day
If I am being honest I love this day idea but it seems a bit too similar to hippies during hippie vs high fashion. It is a bit hard to participate and lacks uniqueness. None of the days deserves to be number five but I unfortunately had to put this one last.
- Spirit Day
This day is amazing for ease of participation but lacks uniqueness and creativity. I do think it’s great however because you really get to show your pride in class. It also works well during the pep rally as everyone is unified into one team. In other years I would mark this day probably up to 3 or even 2 but these next few days are definitely far away the best.
- Hippies vs. High Fashion
This is a quality spirit day theme that is a really well rounded day. It’s pretty easy to participate and is somewhat unique as well. Because underclassmen do not participate as much as the upperclassmen it did feel at times just a hippie day so that might bring its rating down. However it’s a great theme to kick off the fun filled week.
2. Class Theme Day
What can I say, class theme day really should be labeled as 1B because it has all the qualities you would want in a spirit week theme. It is very unique as each class represents a different city and even though the ease of use definitely is not as high as some previous days I still think it one of the best days.
- Barbecue Dads vs. Soccer Moms
Of all the spirit days I was excited for this one the most. Participation is definitely one of the easiest and it is extremely unique. The whole school comes together in appreciation for the greatness of this idea. Barbecue Dads and Soccer Moms are a good combo and make sense. I am proud to call this my 1st place selection.
