Are you looking for books to read? Are you unable to afford new books? Well that’s okay. The Leonardtown High School library has free books and I’m not talking about the ones you can check out. By the front desk in the library there is a cart full of free books that you can take home and keep forever. This is a great opportunity for students to get free books if they enjoy reading in their free time.
Can’t find any books that interest you? That’s alright. You can take the books and use them for scrapbooking or blackout poetry. A lot of the books contain images which would be really nice for crafts or scrapbooking. Additionally, you can rip some of the pages out and turn them into blackout poems. This is an activity I have done in English classes in the past. You can turn damaged books into something new and beautiful!
The cart of free books in the library is something that personally I love and wish more attention was brought to. All in all, you have the opportunity to keep FREE books. This is an opportunity that more students should be taking advantage of!
