You know what really grinds our gears? Ignorant people. There’s nothing that makes us angrier than a person who is so wrapped up in their own life that they don’t realize that the world doesn’t revolve around them. You find ignorant people in every day life. When you’re at a restaurant, for example, you can always find that one guy who feels it’s completely necessary to shout into his cell phone about the business deal he’s about to lose. Sorry sir, I didn’t pay $22 for this substandard steak to hear you complain about how incompetent your co-workers are and how you have to save the day again. Maybe it’s your fault! Maybe you can’t get over yourself enough to realize that you might be the detriment to your company. Perhaps the best place to meet impolite people is in the parking lot–that seems to be the breeding ground of ignorant people. Do you know why it takes twenty minutes to get out of B-Lot after school? Because people don’t know how to take turns. It’s as simple as being slightly considerate to other drivers: if you’re at an intersection, let another car go in front of you, and you go behind them. That way traffic flows smoothly and everyone gets out quickly. If you’ve ever tried to get out of B-Lot, however, you know that there’s not a chance in the world of people taking turns. The most familiar kind of ignorant person in high school would be a tool. They can be found swaggin’ through the halls between classes, snap-backs turned and pants sagging. Try not to walk behind them because you will never get to class on time, either because of the snail’s pace at which they walk or because you will pass out from the amount of AXE they are wearing. Ignorant people. That’s what grinds our gears.
